Bio:
Maryam Khajeh Tabari completed her degrees in Computer Engineering (Hons) with a Masters of Biomedical Engineering at the University of New South Wales in 2003. Maryam also acquired a Diploma of Innovation Management, whilst at UNSW, which launched her interest in technology commercialisation. She gained some brief experience working for a start-up biotechnology company at the University, prior to launching her career as a Patent Attorney in 2004. She worked as a Patent Attorney for over 6.5 years, which included drafting, prosecuting, and interpreting patent and patent applications in the fields of computer, mechanical, electrical and biomedical engineering, as well as gaining a Masters of Industrial Property ( L aw).
In 2010, she joined UNSW's commercialisation arm, NewSouth Innovations as a Commercialisation Manager for the Faculty of Science, where she helped negotiate IP clauses of numerous contracts for the University.
Outside of work, Maryam also took on the role of President of the Sydney Division of Engineers Australia for 2011. She is also currently completing her postgraduate law degree.
Maryam commenced at Halfords in January 2012 and brings with her, her interests in innovation, technology commercialisation, and knowledge transfer.
Maryam's other interests include reading, playing soccer, and art. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, including her dog, Charlie. |
