GRAHAM HALFORD
Halfords IP is saddened to advise of the passing of its founder, Graham William Halford, following a courageous 12 year battle with cancer.
Graham established the firm as Halford & Co in 1979, and has been a loyal business partner and a friend and mentor to the firm. Known for his intellectual rigour, analytical skills and sharp wit, since his retirement from day-to-day practice in 2003 Graham continued to make his mark on the the firm by his leadership of the firm's professional education program, ceasing only at the end of 2010. Graham's insistence on high quality analysis was uncompromising, but he was also a man of great humour. Our professional development meetings and the post-meeting 'review' sessions were occasions of great mirth, and memories of Graham's quick wit and of his laughter booming through the office will endure.
Graham will be greatly missed by the partners, staff and clients of the firm, but we are also grateful for the part that Graham has played in our lives. The firm thanks everyone for their thoughts and messages during this difficult time.
Graham's funeral will be held in Canberra, and a separate wake will be held in Sydney.
